Digital ISDN2 lines are ideal for small to medium sized businesses that need a phone solution that is either capable of supporting up to 8 simultaneous calls, or one whereby they can take advantage of DDI numbers which can be assigned to specific extensions. For customers with requirements greater than 8 simultaneous calls now, or in the future, you may like to consider using ISDN30 lines in the first instance as it provides far greater scope for expansion with fewer points of failure.
These charges apply on a monthly basis for the rental of lines and are inclusive of VAT.

Digital Home/Business Rental is a discontinued service. Please refer to Digital System as a replacement. Digital Standard (sometimes referred to by BT as Point to Multi-point) is typically provided where there is a requirement for just one stand-alone ISDN2 line. The service provides a maximum of two 64Kbps channels. Additional telephone numbers can be assigned to the service using Multiple Subscriber Numbering (MSN), however DDI numbers are not. Digital System Aux Channels is the monthly rental for additional Digital System channels. Digital System Rental is the monthly rental for the main Digital System channel. Digital System (sometimes referred to by BT as Point to Point) is the most common type of ISDN 2. It can support multiples pairs of channels which inturn are connected to a PBX. It can support Direct Dialling Inwards (DDI) numbers which are either supplied as single numbers (SNDDI) or in blocks of 10. |
